Fear is not my friend

Sometimes things in life happen that will cause us to have fear. Watching scary movies can cause fear and anxiety, or a bad car accident can cause, or seeing someone get abused or not knowing what your future holds can cause fear and anxiety. There are a lot of situations that we experience that can cause fear and anxiety.

I know for a fact that fear and anxiety are not of God. They are of the enemy.

2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and a sound mind. That scripture tells us fear is a spirit that God did not give to us. Right there it tells us fear is not normal. You can put anxiety and other feelings such as them all in the same box. None of it is of God. If it isn’t of God then it must be of the enemy. We know it is real because we feel it. Sometimes it stops us dead in our tracks. It hinders us from making progress in our hopes our dreams our lives. Oh! It is real but because we know the enemy is the father of lies, chaos, fear anxiety, and a whole lot of other stuff we have to learn to overcome these emotions. These spirits. We have a whole life to live. We have goals to accomplish and dreams to conquer.

We are God’s children and God gave us weapons to fight our enemy. We as God’s children will have to face chaos, anxiety, fear, and a whole lot of spirits or emotions if you will, however, our Father our creator, the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, didn’t leave us empty-handed. He gave us weapons for our warfare. He gave us keys to bind and lose. Our weapons are our words. We use them when we pray.

Last week I was involved in a vehicle accident. A car pulled out in front of me. When I tell you it is difficult for me to drive and now I even think twice about leaving the house, even if it is to go to the store that is the next block over. I have to bind the spirit of fear in my prayer time every day now. I have to send it back to the pits of hell from where it came. When my husband leaves my presence sometimes I shed a couple of tears because of this issue.

I am not a punk and I know where the evil spirit came from but I also know my father who intercedes on my behalf in heaven and know I have angels fighting for me and I also know that God did not bring me this far to leave me.

So, I encourage you to use your weapons as you pray. Bind and come against those emotions, those evil spirits that are coming against you. Send them back to whoever or whatever sent them to you. Just pray return to sender. Begin to lose the peace of God in your life and the joy of the Lord. It may not go away the first time or even the 5th time, but be persistent and keep praying it every day until it does go away.

You do not have to live in fear. You do not have to stay stuck in the house. reach out and let someone know what you are going through if you need support. Have a spouse or a friend pray you through if you don’t think you can do it alone.

Email me and we will pray you through and we will get through this together!
